Sasana Yoga
Teachers.

Yoga offers us the space for a unique sense of community and human connection.

As teachers, and as people, we are all individuals with different past-lives, experiences, and energies to share with our students.

As students, you may find yourselves connecting with and resonating more with particular facilitators, and we encourage you to get to know us and our teaching styles to find the perfect environment for you to explore yourself and the world of yoga.

Should you ever have any feedback for any of our team, we would absolutely love to hear about your experiences.

Our grounded & down-to-earth teachers incorporate the ancient traditions of yoga with our modern, lived environment to create a supportive community.

Elese

(She / Her)

For Elese, yoga has come to mean connection, connection to self, but also to community. Teaching yoga has become a platform where Elese can combine her passions for community and mental health to invite students to come as they are, to feel seen, and be heard. Elese sees yoga as a commitment to self and her yoga mat offers her reflection, self discovery, and growth. Over the seven years she has been practising yoga it has become a safe space to show up as herself and unite body, breath and mind.

Elese completed her 200hr YTT at Kindred Movement in Melbourne in 2021 which was nothing short of transformative, and where she felt a deep sense of coming home. She has since then completed a 50hr Sequencing & Theming training with Kindred Movement in 2022.

Through her Vinyasa style classes Elese offers a supportive, invitational, motivational space where she aims to empower her students to recognise their power. You can expect intentional and fluid asana, pranayama (breathwork), reflective and relatable theming and a conversational, friendly delivery style.

Laura

(She / Her)

Laura began practising yoga years ago for both its physical and mental benefits alongside a busy university schedule, but it was not until her move to Melbourne from the UK in 2018 that she really began to appreciate its value to her life both on and off the mat. The ancient practice of yoga and the yoga community is a place where she has found a deep connection to her inner world as well as a connection to others who share the practice.

Having completed her 200hrs teacher training at Kindred Movement in early 2022, she aims to create a supportive, welcoming class environment where students are invited to connect to their home within. With a compassionate and down-to-earth approach to life, Laura offers an open, inclusive space for students to move, breathe and have fun. Expect moments of creativity and play, as well as time to pause, ground and reconnect throughout the class.

Sarah

(She / Her)

Searching for a more gentle way to move my body, I discovered yoga after an injury. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with the practice and experience benefits far beyond the physical.

Practising yoga slowly became an indispensable and transforming part of my life, until I finally decided to do teacher training to deepen my practice even further.

During this training, I realised that I would love to share this experience and support others in their journey to finding more inner freedom.

Carla

(She / Her)

Carla has been drawn to yoga from her love of dance, embodied movement, and the space it provides for mental well-being.

Carla’s sequences are created from the heart to provide an energetic uplift as well as mind and body tension release.

She is passionate about helping others feel connected to their inner guidance and is studying for a Diploma in Holistic Counselling which she endeavours to weave through her classes.

Anya

(She / Her)

Anya has developed a huge love for yoga over the years, it’s taken her from Ill health and fear of over pushing herself, to strong, centred and in love with moving her body anyway she can. She loves to share this passion with her students.

Trained in both Vinyasa and Yin, she loves to exploring both sides of the practice. Her classes are focused around creative flows, playfulness, mindfulness, breath and staying present in the body throughout the practice.

My yoga journey.

Discovering yoga when I arrived in Australia 9 years ago has been a truly enlightening journey.

What started out as a physical workout on the mat to what it has brought me spiritually has been transformational in my day-to-day life.

I want to support students and help bring a little magic to some of my experiences through Asana and movement in mind body and spirit.

I Graduated from power living 200 hr RYTT last year in September and teach powerful vinyasa flows.

Favourite yoga position: Warrior two strong fierce and calming.

Tammy

(She / Her)

Yoga is my religion, it comes from deep inside my Anahata chakra.

I was diagnosed with Huntington's disease (neurological disorders) over 10 years and I believe daily yoga reduces the systems naturally, since there is no medical sure yet.

I also adore the community that it. creates ... my yoga family.
